Jodi Daniel, LCSW

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW

I embrace a pragmatic approach to therapy, encompassing a variety of therapeutic modalities to address numerous issues. I recognize we all view life from our own, personal context. Exploring our own context allows space for understanding, empathy, forgiveness, healing, and growth. I believe the goal of therapy shouldn’t only be relieving symptoms, but also to foster the positive presence of inner capacities and strengths, allowing people to live life with a greater sense of freedom, flexibility, possibility, and contentment.
I work with various issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, adjustment/life changes, family dysfunction, LGBTQ+ issues, and trauma. I work with individuals and couples. ***I offer telehealth video sessions and I’m fully licensed in both Illinois and New York.***
PLEASE NOTE: I respond to emails (and/or phone calls) within 24 hours. If you do not receive an email response in that time frame, be sure to check your spam and/or junk folders. Also, please specify whether you’re located in New York or Illinois. Talk soon!

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, we work one-on-one in a confidential, supportive, and safe environment. I believe a good fit in the therapeutic relationship is the most important tool in therapy. Working to establish a therapeutic relationship built on trust creates an alliance where authentic, and often difficult conversations, can happen freely.

Couples Therapy

There are at least three parts in all relationships: each individual and the relationship itself. Couples work can be helpful at any stage of your relationship and need not be considered “a last-ditch effort to save it.” We make time in our lives for working on things we consider important and of value. Why would our relationships be any different?
